National Leadership Conference

The National Leadership Conference (NLC) is held during the summer months in a selected city in the United States. Iowa's top place competitive event winners with a counterpart national event are eligible to compete at the NLC. All Iowa members and advisers are eligible to attend, based on local and state guidelines. In addition to competitive events, the NLC consists of tours, business meetings, special interest sessions, seminars, workshops, awards programs, election and installation of national officers, and other planned educational/leadership development activities.

Important Dates

  • March 1: NLC Registration Opens

  • April 15: NLC Scholarship Deadline

  • May 13: NLC Registration Deadline (state determined, but no later than)

  • May 16: State Leader Competitive Events Verification Deadline

  • June 29-July 2: NLC in Anaheim, CA

1st Place Scholarships

Congratulations on the members placing 1st in a national competitive event at the 2024 State Leadership Conference. For each 1st place award recipient that attends the 2024 National Leadership Conference and represents Iowa in a competitive event, they will receive a $75 scholarship and free NLC promo package ($30 value).
